Built from a personal Australian journey.
A new beginning
After arriving in Australia as an international student, Chintan began his working life as a Retail Assistant at Brighton Road Food Market.
A first home
Through hard work and determination, he progressed to become a Store Manager. During those years, he achieved permanent residency, purchased his first home and developed a passion for property and finance.
Business ownership
His entrepreneurial journey also gave him first-hand experience of running a business. Over the years, he owned and operated several businesses, including a petrol station, newsagency and lottery business.
Mortgage broking
In 2016, Chintan began his career as a mortgage broker, helping others navigate the same property journey he had experienced himself.
These experiences gave Chintan a broader understanding of finance—from home ownership and investment to business operations, cash flow and long-term planning.
Why the name Brighton?
A reminder of where the journey began.
Brighton Finance takes its name from Brighton Road Food Market, where Chintan's working life in Australia began.
For him, Brighton represents opportunity, hard work and the belief that a strong future can be built from humble beginnings. Those experiences—from buying a first home to managing cash flow as a business owner—continue to shape the way Brighton Finance works with clients today.
We do not believe finance should be purely transactional. We take the time to understand the person, explain suitable options clearly and help make the next decision with the bigger picture in mind.

Chintan Shah
Experience behind every conversation.
Chintan brings more than 10 years of mortgage broking experience, together with first-hand experience as a homeowner, business owner and property investor.
After arriving in Australia as an international student, he progressed from retail assistant to store manager, achieved permanent residency, purchased his first home and later owned and operated several businesses. He has also built a multi-state investment property portfolio, giving him practical experience across property acquisition, construction, development, lending and portfolio growth.
For Chintan, the role of a broker goes beyond finding a loan. It's about understanding people, creating opportunities and providing the honest guidance he would have wanted during his own financial journey.
